A Hedge Fund Manager’s $10,000 a Day Addiction


Kenny Lissik, a former Wall Street trader who became dependent on opiates after undergoing back surgery. Spiraling into full-blown addiction to Oxycontin, Percocet, cocaine, and Adderall, Lissik tells us he spent upwards of $10,000 a week on pills. According to the U.S. Department of Health, 6.8% of people working in the financial services industry abuse illicit drugs. And Wall Street, the world’s financial capital, is not exempt from this statistic. In collaboration with MSNBC, Vocativ investigated the prescription drudrugg abuse epidemic that is capsizing the lives of some of Wall Street’s bigwigs.
